ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I suffered from anxiety, frustration, depression, restlessness,
boredom, anger, hatred, worry and fear all my life until I discovered
meditation. But it was more than discovering meditation techniques.
I discovered how the mind works. By understanding
how the mind operates, I was able to free myself from these
negative emotions (stress).
And it’s not as difficult as you think. It simply
takes practice.
When I first started practicing, I had a difficult time with it.
I could maybe meditate for only about 5 minutes. However, I was
consistent. I would meditate every day and eventually, I worked
my way up to half an hour to an hour of meditation.
Meditation is like everything else in life. The more you
practice, the more skillful you become. It’s the
most essential skill one can have because you can use it to cope
with any challenges that come up in life. It unburdens your
mind so there is no stress or agitation and this leads to mental
clarity. The mind can easily focus and it’s full
of energy. After you meditate, you feel the mind is relaxed and
fully charged because it was in a state of stillness.
The more you practice meditation, the more insights and wisdom
arise in your mind. Instead of having an “AHA”
or a breakthrough moment once in awhile, you can
have these insightful moments everyday just by
creating awareness through meditation training.
The awareness frees you from the emotional suffering because you
can see the inner working of the mind. You can
see how stress arises; therefore, you can catch it before it takes
over your emotion and let it go. When this awareness is with you,
you’re always free from stress.
Life without stress is amazing! It means you have a lot
of happiness. You’re in a constant state of inspiration.
As the result of practicing meditation, you live a more fulfilling
life based on the knowledge of insight and wisdom. You become a
kinder and more compassionate person and are always willing to share
your happiness with everyone. The meditation practice will lead
you to discover your true self and find your true purpose in life.
